Pigeon Ascent v1.8.1 update
Hi there! We are releasing a new update for Pigeon Ascent: v1.8.1.
Here’s the changelog for all the changes since v1.8.0:
- Translations:
- The PT-BR and ES translations should be working once again now.
- New features were also translated, like the Hall of Tries.
- Also made some updates to the spreadsheet, and maybe I’ll add French and German machine translations to the game. Still thinking about it though.
- Polish:
- The “Stat points left” text is more colorful now.
- When allocating stats, the number will display a little animation.
- Made some visual adjustments to the HP and FOOD bars.
- You can now buy a heart (extra life) at the shop.
- Bug fixes:
- After shaking when taking damage, the pigeon’s HP bar will not end up offsetted.
- What you won’t notice:
- Removed a bunch of old files. Hopefully this won’t break anything!
- Refactored some nodes.
Once again, big thanks to everyone that played, enjoyed, and left some feedback for Pigeon Ascent!
Here’s a rough roadmap. It is mostly so that I don’t forget what I have on my mind right now:
- Very likely:
- Migrate the game to Godot 4
- More polish to the Hall of Tries
- Add option to delete the Hall of Tries
- Machine translations
- Likely:
- Passive skills rework
- Rebalancing how stats affect damage and progression
- Add more oomph to the evolution animation
- Polish the battle log a bit more
- Change/update font to one that supports more characters
- Unlikely:
- Achievements
- Platy Item Evolution
- More pigeons
- Very unlikely, and in fact will most likely be on Pigeon Ascent 2 only:
- Different way of selecting your opponents
- More stats, depending on the pigeon’s evolution
- Active skills
- Equipments
