Pigeon Ascent v1.8.9.1 update
Hi there! We are releasing another new update for Pigeon Ascent: v1.8.9.1.
I know, the version number progression isn’t really make a lot of sense lately. Anyway, Here’s the changelog for all the changes since v1.8.1 (more precisely, those are the things I remember were changed):

Engine:
- Pigeon Ascent engine was update from Godot 3 to Godot 4. This required tons of changes, but actually the gameplay itself isn’t changed a lot by this. The game might be smoother or look different here and there.

Added a SQLite database to the game:
- Like the engine update, this is basically technical stuff. However, this new database indirectly allowed me to add new features to the game is a very elegant way IMO…

Achievements and better Hall of Tries
- … and thanks to the database feature, achievements were added to the game! Currently there are 11 achievements ranging from silly stuff to real challenges. I hope conquering them ends up being fun!
- The Hall of Tries also uses this database, making it more stable.
- There’s also a new option that allows you to delete your save data.

Other new features and stuff that was polished:
- You can cancel pigeon evolutions.
- The evolution animation gained a minor revamp.
- The game now uses fonts that support tons of more languages and their characters.
- There is a small acknowledgements section in the game.
- The battle log was revamped.
- New translations were added and fixed.
- Major rebalancing of all the game’s calculations. Basically every formula was changed.
- Tons of refactoring, of course.
- Tons of bug fixes.
- Battle mechanics were modified to lead to more interesting gameplay.
- Fixed issues when playing the web version on a mobile device.
- Removed PIgeons mega gold buff.
- More polish and adjustments to parts of the game I can’t remember right now.
Machine translations should be coming soon. Not sure if they’ll be useful though.

- Different way of selecting your opponents
- More stats, depending on the pigeon’s evolution
- Active skills
- Equipments
